Guidelines for the use of the fund for research activities

In order to provide information on the use of the fund for research activities in Italy and abroad, the types of eligible expenditure are reported below.

Within the 3 years of the PhD Course (student expenses only)
  • Purchase of laptops limited to the first 18 months of the course. At the end of the study program, the PC remains in the Department's possession
  • Purchase of desktop PCs limited to the first 18 months of the course. At the end of the study program, the PC remains in the Department's possession
  • Purchase of inventory material limited to the needs of the student and his/her research, adequately motivated by the student in agreement with the tutor
  • Purchase of reagents, solvents, etc. limited to the needs of the student and his/her research, adequately motivated by the student in agreement with the tutor
  • Purchase of consumables limited to the needs of the student and his/her research, adequately motivated by the student in agreement with the tutor
  • Purchase of books and magazines
  • Registration for conferences, lectures
  • Membership fee for an association that enhances the student's activity and helps him/her to enter an important national and international scientific context, in compliance with the provisions in force at our University
  • Registration for language courses, training courses (not aimed at obtaining a qualification)
  • Expenses for publications
  • Bibliographic expenses (e.g. facsimile copies)
  • Translation of articles or thesis into English
  • Payment of fees for registration at other universities in the case of co-tutelle
  • Payment of compulsory insurance in the context of stays abroad
  • Travel expenses (pursuant to the University regulations for travel issued with DR 4530 of 12.30.2016, PhD students with a scholarship who benefit from the increase in their scholarship may benefit from reimbursement of travel expenses only)
  • Expenses for registration in the health registry (non-EU students)
  • Health insurance costs, in the case of a stay in a non-EU country
  • Visa issuance costs for a stay abroad
